Anglican Church of the Reformation

Church Life

A church family that loves, prays, and grows together.

We are more than a congregation that meets on Sunday morning. We are a family, brought together by the grace of God in Jesus Christ, and we love spending time together. Whether we are studying the Scriptures, praying for one another, sharing a meal, or hiking a mountain trail, we want every person who walks through our doors to find a warm welcome and a place to belong.

God never meant for the Christian life to be lived alone. He calls us to know one another, to care for one another, and to help one another keep running the race of faith.

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:24–25 (ESV)

Around the Table and Beyond

Some of our sweetest fellowship happens around a shared table. Like the first Christians, who were “breaking bread in their homes” and receiving “their food with glad and generous hearts” (Acts 2:46, ESV), we love to gather and enjoy one another’s company:

  • Potluck meals and picnics where everyone brings a dish and there is always room for one more.
  • Movie nights for the whole church family.
  • Young adult game nights full of laughter and friendly competition.
  • Summer hiking trips that enjoy the beauty of God’s creation here in North Idaho.

Celebrating the Christian Year

Throughout the year we gather to remember the great works of God and the gospel of his grace:

  • Reformation Day (October): we give thanks for the recovery of the gospel of grace in the Protestant Reformation.
  • Lessons and Carols (Advent): a beloved service of Scripture readings and carols that tells the story of our salvation, from the Fall to the coming of Christ.
  • Good Friday: we read the account of our Lord’s Passion together and remember the cross where Christ died for our sins.

As our church grows and we acquire a building of our own, we look forward to adding more services and ministries. One we are already planning is a hymn sing, an evening of lifting our voices together in the great hymns of the faith.

Dates for these services and other gatherings are posted on our church calendar.

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV)

Pastoral Care

No one should have to carry life’s burdens alone. Our pastor welcomes opportunities to visit members and families in their homes, to offer pastoral counseling, and bring the encouragement of God’s Word, prayer, and comfort to those who are sick or shut in. And whatever you may be facing, he is always glad to pray with you. Simply contact the church office by phone or email below.

“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2 (ESV)
